Our 20 power plants are located throughout our service territory, as well as a few outlying areas, such outside of Pittsburgh or in Michigan. New Jersey
Jersey Central Power & Light Company (JCP&L), headquartered in Morristown and Red Bank, New Jersey, provides service to customers within a 3,200-square-mile-area of northern and central New Jersey.

Pennsylvania
Metropolitan Edison Company (Met-Ed), headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, provides service to customers within a 3,300-square-mile-area of southern and southeastern Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Electric Company (Penelec), headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania, provides electric service to customers within a 17,600-square-mile-area of northern and central Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania Power Company (Penn Power), headquartered in New Castle, Pennsylvania, provides electric service to customers within a 1,100-square-mile-area of western Pennsylvania.

Ohio
Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (The Illuminating Company), headquartered in Brecksville, Ohio, provides electric service to customers within a 1,600-square-mile-area of northeastern Ohio.

Ohio Edison Company, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, provides electric service to customers within a 7,000-square-mile-area of central and northeastern Ohio.

The Toledo Edison Company, headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, provides electric service to customers within a 2,300-square-mile-area of northwestern Ohio.
