FirstEnergy provides an online application for customers to better understand their energy use, and to identify ways to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency.   Suggested energy-saving improvements from the use of this tool and subsequent dollar savings, if any, are suggested for illustrative purposes only, may vary depending on individual circumstances, and are not guaranteed.

When using this tool, it is helpful to have past bills available, as well as a list of home appliances. Some features include:

• A Home Profile that you complete. You can view the results, which include potential savings opportunities and a comparison to homes like the type entered in the profile.
• An Energy Calculator that estimates potential cost savings, depending on the profile entered. Find out how much you might save using the calculator tools for energy improvements throughout your home.
• An Appliance Analysis to report how your home uses energy. Enter electric use from previous energy bills and find possible ways to save energy by completing details about your existing heating, cooling, lighting, and weatherization systems.
• A Home Energy Analysis Report with a summary of typical annual energy costs of appliances like the ones entered, and an estimate of how much homes similar to yours spend on energy on a monthly basis. The printable report is based on information you provided and are all estimates.
• An EnergySmart library provides detailed information about energy-related topics. The library contains a search feature that helps easily locate an energy topic, such as weatherization, heating, cooling, lighting, water heating, and food storage.
